Dr. Eva Jewell (Ma’iingan Dodem, she/her) is Anishinaabekwe from Deshkan Ziibiing (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation) in southwestern Ontario. Her scholarship supports community-based/community-led inquiry on topics of governance, kinships, care, and reclamation amongst Anishinaabeg as well as within her First Nation. Dr. Jewell is currently an Associate Professor in Indigenous Feminisms in the Sociology Department at Toronto Metropolitan University.
