Reimagining Care/Work Policies

Dr. Mansi Wadhwa conducts research in the areas of gender, labor economics, social policy, and evidence-based policymaking. She specializes in analyzing the causal effects of policies/programs using experimental and quasi-experimental methods. Most recently, she was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Utah where she worked on the impact evaluation of an online job counseling program using a large, randomized control trial. Dr. Wadhwa examines the effects of maternity and parental leave policies on labor market outcomes of women using longitudinal survey data in the US and Canada. Her work seeks to advance evidence-based policymaking enhancing the understanding of “what works” and was published in top-ranking peer-reviewed journals and covered in the media. She holds a PhD in Public Policy from George Washington University, Washington DC with specialization is in Program and Policy Evaluation. She also holds a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from the Hertie School, Berlin and a Bachelors in Arts (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Delhi.
