Grace Gletsu is an incoming PhD student in Sociology at the University of British Columbia, beginning in Fall 2025. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Sociology at UBC, where her thesis, Pathways to Leadership: Overcoming Barriers and Advancing the Careers of Women in Ghanaian Corporate Organizations, examines gendered dynamics in career advancement and organizational leadership. Her research interests center on gender and work, with a focus on inequality, leadership, and institutional change. Her MA research is supervised by Dr. Sylvia Fuller, with Dr. Jennifer Berdahl serving on her committee. Grace brings nearly seven years of research experience from Ghana, where she worked with Innovation for Poverty Action (IPA)—an international NGO dedicated to evidence-based policy and program development in areas such as education, gender and health. She also holds a master’s degree in development studies from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Ghana.
