Reimagining Care/Work Policies

Varieties of Child Care Investments in Australia, Canada, and Germany

This project examines the varieties of child care finance and delivery in the federal systems of Australia, Canada, and Germany in order to explore the relationship between the existing policyscape and the mix of delivery agents that emerge with the infusion of federal financing. In this project, we develop an original index that maps policy making across the three sub‐national contexts across time to examine the impact of institutionalized private actors of varying status (for‐profit, not‐for‐profit) and power.

Our research team consists of:

Linda White (University of Toronto)

Adrienne Davidson (McMaster University)

Jenna Quelch (University of Toronto)

Student RA’s: Michael Nolan, Marlene Terstiege, and Kyra Menezes
